Frequently asked quesadillas

General

  • Of course, as long as the theme is appropriate. I’m all for creativity, but not cultural appropriation. I reserve the right to leave an event if I feel the theme has racial undertones and I will do so. In this case, your booking cost is non refundable.

  • Yes, I do offer a service for beautiful and creative tablescapes. Get in touch via my ‘contact me’ page to reach out.

  • Yes, a non-refundable 20% deposit is required upfront to secure your date.

  • 10 days out from your event. It’s non-refundable at this point as I’ll be ordering beautiful fresh product & meat for your feast.

  • 10 days before the event please. Please be mindful when you book to be as accurate as you can with your guest number.

  • Sure do — I’ve got some banger DF, GF & vegan options up my sleeve! Simply note your dietary requirements when booking and I’ll prepare the menu accordingly. However, the fact I’m cooking in someone else’s home means I may not be suitable to cater for severe anaphylactic allergies.

  • I’ll do my best to accommodate, but please note:

If it’s more than 14 days out from your event, it’s fine to postpone at no extra cost.

If it’s more than 14 days out from your event and you need to cancel, you can do so but note your 20% deposit is non-refundable.

If you need to cancel or postpone your event with less than 10 days’ notice — full payment would have been made and this is non-refundable.

If you find yourself in a tricky situation, please get in touch ASAP and we can try to work out a solution.

  • As long as you’re within the Tauranga/Papamoa/Mount Maunganui areas, I’m happy to come to you at no additional cost. If you live/work further afield and would like to feast with me, my travel fees are $1 per KM and $15 per driving hour. Please note if travel will incur longer than a 10 hour day (including your event) then this may incur an accommodation fee too.

  • Not a lot, all I ask for is:

    • A space to set up (a decent sized table & the correct number of chairs)

    • Cutlery

    • Cocktail or wine glasses (or you can hire my beautiful grinter glasses)

    • Plenty of room in your fridge

    • A clean kitchen

  • I arrive at the agreed time and take over your kitchen (some of the food will be pre-prepped while other things will require more cooking time - I’ll let you know how much time we need when you book). I’ll set up the space & tablescape, then start on the first course when you’re ready to feast. I’ll serve and clear plates as I go, do the dishes, clean the kitchen, then wave goodbye and leave you to it.

  • I do (you're far too cute to be doing dishes).

The food part, anyway… if you’re kicking on for hen party shenanigans you’re on your own there ;)

I will leave your kitchen sparkling, and put a dishwasher cycle on before I leave. if you and your guests are still dining (and having ridiculous amounts of fun!) when I leave, you will be required to have the remaining plates clean and ready for pick up the next day.
